About My Clients
Whether or not they are preparing for a professional career, the artistic/aesthetic athletes I work with have a more complicated relationship with their body than their non-athletic peers and need that relationship to be at the top of their game. I also work with non-athletes teens and adults who are seeking peace in their relationships with food and their body, as we all deserve to have! I often say, "Nothing is too big, too small, or too weird to talk about in session".
My Approach to Helping
I specialize in eating disorder treatment, trauma, anxiety, and athlete mental health. I use a variety of treatment modalities to create an individualized therapeutic relationship and experience for each of my clients to reach their goals and have an open, accepting space to process their life stories. We all have fears, doubts, and insecurities that can keep us from engaging in the life we envision for ourselves. My goal in working with you is to help you conquer those obstacles so you can bloom into the life that has been otherwise out of reach!
My Values as a Therapist
We are each capable of incredible things-- as long as we are given the tools, the time, and the opportunities to show them. Those incredible things come out of our heritage, our ideals, our personal identities and experiences. If we only had one kind of person in the world, there wouldn't be much to admire. While we explore how to show what we value and our authentic selves, it's important to find a space that's judgement free, and safe to be curious and make a mess, sometimes laugh at ourselves, and definitely cry for ourselves. My goal is to provide such a space that starts as a room or a virtual call--and becomes a bubble of safe exploration.
