My clients have learned solutions for long standing conflict in relationships. Clients who have a trauma history understand their symptoms are in self preservation, and something is generally wrong with what happened in the trauma, not with them. Clients find me when worried their trauma will affect parenting. They come after violating or confusing births or while planning the impossibly 'perfect’ birth. Some arrive postpartum- feeling trapped, sad, anxious, & resentful (and then ashamed by their feelings). Folx show up feeling wildly reactive despite heroic efforts to chill, or when realizing that parenting pokes at every wound they didn’t even know they carried. This understanding has led to my intense compassion for human suffering, and delight in the unique paths forged. It is possible to ultimately drop attachments contributing to suffering, in order to experience the innately loving conscious beings we are. Here the focus is less on "right and wrong" and more on the wise discernment of what ACTUALLY contributes to suffering.
