About My Clients

Are you burnt out from late-stage capitalism, White supremacy, and rampant misogyny? Same. Rest and connections are essential. I provide relationships that support your growth, hold space for discomfort and grief, and inspire you to create joy and pleasure in everything you do. I specialize in working with people experiencing anxiety and depression, gender and sexual issues, trauma, attachment-based challenges, relationship stress, and folks looking to heal through mind-body integration.

My Background and Approach

I can't help but feel a little bit like Liam Neeson as I describe my very particular set of skills that I've acquired over a very long career. Sessions with me tend to have quite a bit of laughter, occasionally some cathartic ugly-crying, and a lot of really deep work. I'm a social worker by training and have an extensive toolkit for skills and skill-based interventions that support you through behavioral changes, anxiety, reworking relationships, and addressing substance use. But my true passion and skill lies in the deep work - helping you dig up the roots of your coping mechanisms and attachments so that you can create greater meaning in your life while embracing more joy and self-compassion. It's not easy but you can absolutely do it and I can help. I use a combination neuro-affirming cognitive therapies, trauma therapy, folk medicine, touch and somatic practices aligned with your goals to provide a deeply healing experience.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Restorative social justice is imperative in my business practices and my therapeutic alliances. I am a pro-sex worker practitioner who believes in abolition of the prison industrial complex, full decriminalization of sex work, and restorative paths to community wellness. I believe that therapy is inherently political and we can't begin to untangle ourselves until we acknowledge systemic harms of living in White Supremacy for all bodies, but primarily Black Women and other Women of Color. This systemic harm actively contributes to our mental stability, our relationship with bodies, and our relationships to others/our environment. I am a Health at Every Size® practitioner, and I firmly believe that fat liberation is tied to antiracism and disability justice. Lilla Watson said it best, “If you have come here to help me you are wasting your time, but if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.” So let's work together.
