About My Clients
I am well suited to help children, teens, and adultswith anxiety, depression, ADHD, school/work problems, and/or issues pertaining to sexuality and/or gender identity difficulties. I currently work at McLean Hospital in the School Consultation Service and help schools improve the mental health services provided to youth. Using the evidence-based practices, I help clients learn new ways to cope with difficult life problems and reunite with their core values to live their best life.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Miami University in 2019. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), two treatments that have strong research support in helping folks cope with anxiety, depression, and overall emotion dysregulation. These treatments are tried and tested to help you learn and use new skills for coping with the difficulties life throws your way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I unequivocally believe in fighting for the rights of all marginalized populations. I stand with Black Lives Matter and the LGBTQA+ community. I work hard to own my biases and privileges and acknowledge that my experiences as a minority person do not make me an expert on the topic. I work hard to being a curious and open stance to matters of diversity and how my clients experience their identities in the world.
