About My Clients
Life has pointed edges. Whether you’ve faced an especially traumatic incident, experienced the daily trauma of holding marginalized identity/ies, or are navigating intergenerational struggles within your own lineage, sorting through this pain alone can be overwhelming and frightening. I work with adults in the LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent, and Deaf communities. Sessions in ASL are available & welcome!
My Background and Approach
I specialize in trauma therapy, utilizing EMDR and other somatic and experiential approaches. My goal is to create a space where individuals can access their body’s natural healing process, especially for those who haven’t found traditional talk therapy effective. Together, we’ll focus on expanding your internal resources and skills, processing emotions held in the body, and establishing a sense of peace and rootedness. I can do sessions in American Sign Language. I also offer ADHD coaching for those with suspected or diagnosed ADHD. Together, we’ll work on practical skills and provide accountability to tackle challenges like procrastination, disorganization, rejection sensitivity, depression, and anxiety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a fifth-generation hearing member of a Deaf family, I understand the complexities of intergenerational legacies—the good and the painful. Identifying as a white, physically able, first-generation college graduate and parent who is queer, nonbinary, and neurodivergent, I recognize the trauma that can arise from holding certain marginalized identities, and the immense importance of continuing the ongoing process of dismantling internalized white supremacy towards anti-racist action. I am committed to acknowledging my privileges and fostering open discussions about them in our therapeutic space.
