About My Clients
My clients tend to be adults and couples looking for more connection in their lives, less stress, and a greater ability to work effectively with their emotions. If you are not getting the intimacy you crave in life, are feeling directionless, or want help deepening your awareness of your own experience, I can help.
My Background and Approach
I have an MA in clinical psychology and a PhD in social psychology from the University of Denver, where I received specialized training in couple therapy and worked with adults, adolescents, and children. I combine knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions with a willingness to improvise, learn on the go, and respect each client's unique background and needs. My primary specialties are working with couples and individuals (typically men). I also provide psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. It is enormously fulfilling to me to help couples authentically communicate, develop greater intimacy, and heal wounds together. My own years of self-work in therapy and in men's groups have given me the tools to help male-identified clients become the men that deep down they know themselves to be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
All of us crave connection, a sense of purpose, and the knowledge that we are good and safe. I know my own desire to have each of those things has taken me to places both transcendent and deeply painful. My approach to therapy reflects not just my formal training, but also my experiences healing my own wounds and regaining meaningful connection with others. I have learned to sit with my own pain and to celebrate who I really am. To do that, I had to release a lot of pride and ego; I learned that treating myself and others with compassion and unconditional acceptance is a powerful gift. I see therapy as a collaborative process, where you honor me by allowing me to see and care for you, exactly as you are. Then, we work together to help you become even more of who you want to be.
