My Background and Approach
My name is Bethany Nelligan, born and raised in Western New York. I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a diverse background. I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, addictions, crisis situations, and life stressors. With over 20 years of experience, I have served children, adolescents, and adults. I incorporate a range of therapeutic techniques and approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The aim is to enhance communication skills, manage overwhelming emotions, cultivate mindfulness, and foster a deeper self-understanding and sense of purpose. I believe it's crucial to focus on establishing self-care practices, boosting self-esteem, and achieving equilibrium in various life roles.
