About My Clients
My practice focuses on supporting clients facing intersecting challenges related to trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, neurodiversity and/or LGBTQIA2S+ identity. I work with people across the lifespan, including many young adults navigating college, graduate school, or the transition into the workforce.
My Background and Approach
I practice an integrative approach to therapy that is rooted in relational psychodynamic tradition and focused on affect regulation and emotional validation. I believe that behavior is meaningful and I work with clients to explore the meaning of their behavior and symptoms. My work focuses on establishing an empathetic and non-judgemental relationship with clients and I believe that healthy relationships are key to healing. Through our work together, I support clients in developing insight into their emotional experiences and practical strategies for addressing and managing their concerns. I am a queer-identified therapist and provide affirming care to clients with LGBTQIA2S+ identities.
My Values as a Therapist
I take an anti-racist stance in my approach to clinical work and welcome conversations with clients around how race, culture, identity, power, and oppressive systems impact the therapist/client relationship and the client's experiences in the world. I believe that all people are capable of developing increased awareness of their experiences and can make changes that will promote their well-being. I feel very grateful to be able to learn from my clients as they explore and grow within the therapeutic process.
