About My Clients
I love working with: Kids and teens working through anxiety, depression, dysregulated emotions, trauma, understanding family dynamics, self-harm, and low self-esteem symptoms. Young adults and adults working through PTSD symptoms, anxiety, depression, generational trauma, working through chronic somatic systems, identifying boundaries, life transitions, building self-esteem, and working on healing self.
My Background and Approach
Some of my favorite approaches are: Talking things through, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), learning about emotions, how the way we think about things can impact our emotions, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), helping clients identify how their emotions feel in their body, trauma informed modalities, establishing skills to help regulate emotions, identifying where uncomfortable emotions come from like shame/guilt, mindfulness training, and somatic body work approaches. In the process of being trained in EMDR to help clients overcome past trauma and heal symptoms.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that it is important for me as a therapist to listen and meet you where you are at. The more trust you put into this process, the more that change is possible. I believe that our past doesn’t define us, but it got us to where we are now. Right here ready for this therapeutic process. I believe therapy works best when we work together as a team and having open communication. That isn’t going to be built over night and that is why this is a process. I believe change is possible through anyone if you are willing to do the work and put in the effort. I am here to help you through this journey.
